" I miss the group of friends I had in my class the most. We were all such good mates & there was never a day where someone didn't have me in absolute stitches. There is nothing like the friendship you have with your classmates, everyone was there for one another - throughout times good & bad "
" My favourite Muckross memory was dressing up as our principal Ms Lundy for Halloween one year. I had the gown and a fake musical broach! Everyone knew exactly who I was, the resemblance was uncanny. On the night of my graduation, Ms Lundy and I got a photo together and she said she was going to miss not having someone dress up as her. To know she found the joke funny was such a relief! "
What are you up to now?
" I am in my final year of English and Economics in UCD. Next year, I will start a Masters in International Business from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business. I’m not entirely sure what I want to do after that but I know I want to help businesses with the challenges they face as the corporate world is ever evolving as new problems always present themselves. If anyone did the Masters in Smurfit please get in touchas I’d love to see what areas people ended up working in "
Advice for your 18 year old self:
" At the time it seemed like the Leaving Cert would forever define my future but it in hindsight, it really didn't. Just because you don't perform as well as you hoped to or as your friends doesn't mean your life is ruined. There are so many ways to achieve your goals, some take longer and are harder but if you work hard and have faith you'll end up exactly where you're supposed to be. Also, don't let other people try and make you feel bad for whatever you decide to do, there are a million ways to be successful, you just have to figure out what works best for you! "
" I still enjoy playing Golf and Tennis and am an active member of Elm Park Golf & Sports Club. If anyone ever fancies a round of golf or a game of tennis please do contact me as I'd love to play, especially as the weather gets better! "
